Some films fade the moment you leave the cinema. Others stay. As an image, a question, a feeling you can't quite name. And when you experience them alongside someone you love, they become shared memories.

YoungARTA Family is our invitation to families: carefully chosen screenings, suited to every age, in a space where children and parents can be curious together.

The habit of going to the cinema - started early, carried forward through time - builds more than a pleasant routine. It builds a shared language. Difficult conversations are easier to have when they begin with a story experienced together. Moments of wonder, lived in common, strengthen the bonds that matter.

Film & Workshop @ Cinema ARTA

The Young ARTA Family workshops are designed differently, depending on the film and its age rating. For younger children, we focus on understanding the story and the characters, as well as identifying and creatively illustrating the emotions they experience. In the workshops for older children, we focus not only on the story but also on how it is made, the artists’ intentions (the message) and the mechanisms that do (or do not) evoke emotions in us. For now, most of our workshops are held in Romanian, but we hope to develop English-friendly activities soon.
