can i use a ticket for another screening?

Tickets can only be used for the screening they are issued to.

Can I get my money back if I don't make it to the screening?

No, unfortunately tickets are non-refundable.

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets are available at the Cinema ARTA box office and online at www.cinema-arta.ro.

When does the box office open?

The box office opens 30 minutes before the first screening of the day.

How can I choose the seats?

Tickets are not assigned specific seats. Upon arrival at the cinema, you can take any of the available seats.

Are food and drinks allowed inside the cinema?

Food is not allowed in the cinema, but any drinks from ARTA Café are.

Why don't you screen this or that movie?

Films for ARTA Cinema are carefully selected and curated, and not every movie fits our program. There are also cases where a movie is hard or expensive to acquire. The distribution system is complex, and unfortunately we can't screen everything we would like.

Why don't you have Romanian subtitles for all the movies?

Besides our regular screenings, we wish to reach out to a non-Romanian-speaking audience by having regular screenings in English.
Also, we often organize special screenings of films that do not have local distributors. Consequently, they don't have Romanian subtitles, and making them requires resources we don't always have.
We value and try to promote linguistic diversity.
