CineKids is an educational program, developed by Cinema ARTA, which aims to use film as an educational tool and to achieve children's literacy in the audiovisual field. The program is designed for children aged 6 to 14 years old.
In today's society, audiovisual knowledge plays a key role in education and personal development, allowing us to better understand the world and to discern between the countless information and messages to which we are constantly exposed.
“Film can help us understand ourselves, and our cultural and national identities, as well as our history. But film can also help us understand other people, other cultures, times, ideas and values. The wider our access to film, the deeper and broader will be our engagement with the world.”
to help understand the cinematic language and, more broadly, the mechanisms behind any audiovisual message;
to encourage reflection and provide young people with critical tools, thus contributing to the acquisition and refinement of their intellectual, emotional, and aesthetic skills;
to create the premises for better knowledge and understanding of the world around us, cultivating empathy, tolerance, acceptance of diversity, and social responsibility.
